Nature’s NSAID for inflammation, joint pain and arthritis relief.
I worked in a small independent pharmacy after leaving my full time corporate gig. The knowledge I learned from one of the healthiest people I’ve ever met was invaluable. He was the owner and pharmacist who still worked every day in his eighties but didn’t look or act a day over sixty. Getting to work under his guidance and have a mentor to learn from changed the way I looked at medicine. His secret of good, high quality supplements and daily exercise was something that I’ve heard of but actually started to believe. He introduced me to a brand that was new to me called Terry Naturally. One of the products from this brand was Curamin. It is a two ingredient pain relief supplement that includes curcumin, which is the active ingredient in turmeric. It also contains boswelia, or as you may know it by its more common name, frankincense. That caught my attention because if the wise men thought it was good enough for Jesus, there must be something to it. My husband is a contractor and finishing carpenter who works with his hands and was also on his knees a lot of the time with flooring. I started noticing him having to take a good bit of NSAIDs for pain relief which I knew were wreaking havoc on his gastrointestinal (GI) tract. This was not sustainable so I convinced him to give Curamin a try. He was leery at first but once he started taking it and saw its effects he became a believer. He gradually went down to taking no NSAIDs or taking them very infrequently. These two meds work on more inflammation pathways than NSAIDs so not only are they more effective, but they also are more selective and don’t cause the GI side effects of COX-1 inhibitors. So, if you are looking to try something that is a healthier, more natural but stronger alternative, I strongly urge you as a pharmacist, but also as a wife who has seen actual results to give Curamin a try. As with all supplements, please talk to your doctor to make sure the supplements are safe for you to take with your medications and conditions. This supplement does have a slight blood thinning property similar to aspirin so please be cautious if on blood thinning medication. https://amzn.to/4hLEtYg Please let me know your experience if you give this a try, I would love to hear your results.
